A few of us have said recently that the effects of the humira seemed to be wearing off before the next injection was due.
I mentioned to the rheumy nurse today that it wasn't lasting for 2 weeks and she has changed my prescription to one injection every 12 days .
I'll let you know how it goes.

Love, Doreen xx

Thanks peepsThumpUp

So, any of you on Humira who think it's not working the full 2 weeks, tell your rheumy nurse and you may be able to have it more frequently.
My blood tests have been fine so my rheumy nurse deserves a medal for looking at the patient and not just the blood tests!

Unfortunately it's only temporary.
The entire rheumy team in Huddersfield walked out and abandoned us in December so I now have to go to Halifax.
(didn't think I was so difficult to cope with!).

Hi Doreen, hope the 12 days works better for you. Sorry about the rheumy team, seems very odd!! something must have happenedd there, dont suppose you will find out what though. Hope you get on ok at Halifax, and the team are good. Your nurse sounds really lovely x x

I hope this works for you Doreen. Bit of a pain about the rheumy team - just a good job you can get to Halifax.

Hi Doreen,

Just caught up with your good news. Well, I am keeping all my fingers crossed (the ones that will!) and sending our lots of positive vibes that taking Humira every 12 days will do the trick. Now whoever implied that you are difficult to cope with needs there head examined! They should know that only people who are held in high esteem and who are very special get sent to HalifaxLOL LOL LOL

love,

Barbara
